I have spent literally a couple of decades looking for the right computer monitor mounting solution that allows me to have the monitor 2 inches away from my face and yet be able to place the keyboard below it and use all comfortably.
The ultimate monitor arm? Well, it turns out to be something called a "Elite Desk Mount" monitor arm and you can get them from Comrac Ltd (details below). The arm is a two-joint heavy metal, gas assisted medical grade unit that can effortlessly mount a 20 inch TFT / LCD display right from the edge of a large desk and right up to your face! Moving it is very easy and it leaves the whole desk area completely free for your keyboard or whatever else! They come in black or gray and cost about £380 plus VAT. If its for work, you may be able to get financial assistance from the Access to Work team via your JobCentre branch.
